Dillon’s return to the studio brought familiar energy with new creative possibilities. As a tennis player, he has this athletic awareness that translates to natural movement patterns in front of the camera. His height and proportions allowed for interesting compositional choices, while his tattoos added visual elements that could be either highlighted or subtly incorporated depending on the lighting approach. Working with textured backgrounds and directional light sources, we created contrast between the environmental elements and his physical presence. Though the shoot had technical structure, there was room for Dillon’s spontaneity – those moments of unplanned expression that often become the most compelling images from a session.
