Eduardo was passing through Miami when we connected for this hotel room session. We worked primarily with natural light, occasionally bouncing some strobe off the white walls to maintain that soft, dimensional feel he wanted. Though quiet initially, Eduardo had clear ideas about the mood he was after, responding thoughtfully to subtle direction – small adjustments to expressions, tilts of the head, minute shifts in posture. The mirror shot worked better in black and white, as the original colors created an unnecessary distraction. In editing, I focused on keeping his skin natural while gently enhancing definition – photography that feels polished without losing its human quality.
