Strength & Resilience

Joey’s return to the studio marked a continuation of themes we’d begun exploring in our previous work together – particularly the intersection of physical and mental strength. The controlled studio environment in Orlando allowed us to focus entirely on lighting and expression, moving between different moods and aesthetics without distraction. What struck me during this session was Joey’s ability to transition between intensity and approachability, creating images with different emotional temperatures. Having worked together before, I could see his evolution as a model – the increased comfort with the process and the more nuanced understanding of how subtle shifts in expression can transform an image.
